This exhibition at the Sakip Sabanci Museum, one of Turkey’s top private art museums which has hosted exhibitions of Picasso and Rodin as well as important Turkish artists, will showcase the rich history of Turkish painting during the late Ottoman Empire and the early years of the Republic. The focus will be on the works of important Turkish artists born during the 19th century, including Osman Hamdi Bey, Seker Ahmet Pasha, Ibrahim Calli and Feyhaman Duran.
